A resident of Almonte for 15 years, Mrs. Samuel Brydges died in Carleton Place on Monday.
December 14, 1953.   She was in her 82'nd year.
The former Jessie Gordon was born in Lanark, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Jessie Gordon married her first Husband, Mr. Lyon in Lanark.   He predeceased her
in 1028.
She later married Samuel Brydges in Almonte.   He predeceased her last year (that is incorrect
as Sam died March 24, 1953).
She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Almonte.
Surviving is one son Gordon Lyon of Carleton Place and two brothers Max Gordon of Calgary,
Alberta and Lee Gordon of Bindloss, Alberta.
The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at Patterson and Son Funeral Home, Carleton Place.
Interment was in United (Lanark) Cemetery,(Family Plot) 
The pallbearers were Ken Drummond, John Brydges, Buck Hawkins, Bob and Don Lyon.
