OBITUARY ROBERT DEACHMAN THE LANARK ERA Wed. Novenber 26'th., 1919
Carleton Place, Wed. Nov. 19'th., Robert Deachman, aged 51 years. Born in Lanark Twp.
son of the late John Deachman. His stepmother, Mary (Ellis) Deachman, survies. He
was married to Sadie Howe, of Almonte. There are four children; Stewart, in Ottawa;
Frank, Carleton Place; Bessie and Malcolm, at home. Also survived by his brothers, John,
of Lanark; Thomas, of Carleton Place; a sister, Mrs. Thomas James, of Almonte; a half-brother,
Isaac, of Saskatoon, and a half-sister, Mrs. John Kerr, of Crystal City, Man.
He was buried on Nov. 21, 1919 in Ramsay Twp. (8'th line cemetery).

In hospital on Monday, September 23, 1957, Sarah Howe, widow of Robert Stewart Deachman,
formerly of Carleton Place, aged 89. Resting at Hulse and Playfair, 315 McLeod St. Funeral service
on Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment Auld Kirk cemetery, Almonte. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
FRANK H. DEACHMAN 1943
Frank H. Deachman, accountant for the past 12 years of the Campbel Steel and Iron Works, Limited,
died on Saturday evening at his residence, 328 Clemow Avenue, following a short illness.
Born in Carleton Place, he was a son of Mrs. Sarah Howe Deachman and the late
Robert Deachman. He came to Ottawa 15 years ago, and took an active part in the
organzations of McLeod Street United Church, where he was a member of the session board.
He was also a member of Doric Lodge A. F. and A. M. no. 58. Surviving besides his widow,
the former Gladys Stumpf of Medford, Ont. and his mother,
