a quiet but pretty wedding took place at three o'clock on Wednesday afternoon. May 6th. at
St. Paul's Anglican church, Almonte, when Rev. J. J. Lowe united in marriage Myrtle Helen
Brydges, second eldest daughter of Mr. Samuel Brydges and the late Mrs. Brydges, to Mr.
William Drynan of Clayton. The bride who was given in marriage by her brother John
looked charming in a Kashan blue gown, and grey h ? and carried a bouquet of roses, and
carnations. She was attended by her sister, Rhoda who was becomingly gowned in a dress
of navy silk and fawn hat, and carried sweet peas. The groom was assisted by his brother
Edgar. Miss Edna Davis, played the wedding march. The groom's gift to the bride was a
white gold wrist watch and to the bridesmaid, a gold, broochet, to the groomsman a tie pin.
The bride's gift to the groom was a gold watch fob. After the ceremony the wedding party
drove to the home of the bride on the 12th. line of Ramsay where a sumptuous wedding
diner was served. Only the immediate friends were present. Later in the evening the
wedding party drove to their new farm home near Clayton, taking with them the best wishes
of the community. The young couple were the recipients of many useful and costly gifts.

In hospital at Carleton Place on Monday January 12, 1987, Myrtle Brydges - in her 89'th year.
Beloved wife of William M. Drynan and dearly loved mother of Margaret (Mrs. Raymond Metcalfe)
and Caroline (Mrs. Ronald Yuill) both of Almonte; Eileen (Mrs. Howard Fulton) of Pakenham;
Elsie (Mrs. Lionel Mitchell) and Clarence, both of Clayton. Survived by two sisters and one
brother, Ruby, Rhoda, and Howard. Predeceased by two brothers Wilbert and John. Loving
grandmother of nineteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Predeceased by
one grandson. Friends may call at the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home, Almonte from 7-9 p.m.
Monday and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and where Service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
