OBITUARY ---  MRS MARY DEACHMAN
Mrs. Mary Deachman died on Saturday at the age of 85 at the residence of her son,
Mr. John Deachman, on the Almonte road. A few days before she suffered a stroke of paralysis.
Her maiden name was Mary Barber and she was born at White Lake. She was twice married her
first husband being Henry Ellis and to this union two of a family survive---Mrs. James Henderson of Winnipeg and Mrs. Dan. Bain of Ramsay
Her second husband was Mr. John Deachman who predeceased her in 1891 The family were
James, of Fort William, killed overseas, Mrs. John Kerr of Crystal City, Man., and Isaac in the west.
Deceased leaves two brothers and three sisters, William Barber of White Lake and Eustache
Barber in the west, Mrs. John Turner of Ramsay, Mrs. Haggerty of Arnprior and Mrs. James Turner
of Grand Forks, N.D.
The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon to St. Andrew's church, Lanark Village, where Rev.
T. J. S. Ferguson conducted the services to a large congregation of friends and relatives.
Interment was made in the village cemetery. The pallbearers were Messrs. Jacob Gallinger,
John D. Easton, Wm. Barr, R. R. Drysdale, A. McDonald and Stewart McIlraith.
