OBITUARY DANIEL PRETTY            The Lanark Era  Wed. Mar. 30, 1927

Ashton, On. Mar. 16, 1927, Daniel Pretty, aged 85 years.   He was born in Darling Twp. the son of Mr. & Mrs. Daniel

Pretty, Sr. and has been a resident of Ashton for 44 years.   He was twice married.   His first wife died 35 years ago.

They had 12 children, all living.   On Nov. 22, 1894 he married again to Miss Lavina Stanzel of Goulbourn Twp.

They had one son.   He has been confined to bed since Nov. 24, 1926.   Survived by 9 sons and 4 daughters.

Burial in Dewar's Cemetery, McNab Twp.
