DEATH- JOHN F. JACKSON - THE LANARK ERA Wed. May 15th., 1907
At Lanark, May 13th., John F. Jackson, aged 58 years. Born in Dalhousie, Nov. 13th., 1849.
His parents still reside on the homestead. He married June 4th., 1883, to Miss Kate Baird,
daughter of the late Thomas Baird. To them were born eight children; Willie, Jennie, Katie,
Fred., Maynard, Annie, Mary, and Muriel. He was the oldest of a family of seven and is the
first to die. The survivors are; Mrs. Patrick Rodgers, Drummond; Annie and Mary, at home
in Dalhousie; Mrs. Jas. Playfair, Montreal; William and George, at Elkhorn, Man.
Burial in Lanark Village cemetery. Headstone for John reads 1847 - 1907
